RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT

Our goal is to become the leader in premium, certified organic cannabis by focusing on the Research and Development of state-of-the-art agricultural practices and micro-propagation.

AGRICULTURAL INTELLIGENCE

TGOD's genetic breeding and refinement cultivates novel strains, including cannabinoids, terpenes and disease-resistant strains. Our Research & Development of these traits help expand clinical trials in both the domestic and international markets. Because science rules.

MICRO-PROPAGATION

Micro-propagation - the process that uses plant tissue culture to grow larger stock, allows us to plant clean, standardized organic cannabis that grows equally, consistently and free of harmful bacteria that may carry from the mother plant. The result? Robust crop growth. Think of it like Jack and the bean stock.

Our Facilities

TGOD's four R&D facilities are dedicated to organic practices and sustainable farming. With our goal in becoming a global leader in certified organic cannabis, we are excited and eager to offer a variety of diverse cannabis products. You won't want to miss what we have coming in 2019.

FACILITY I – Ancaster Facility

Ancaster, Ontario, Canada

  • 166,000 sq. ft. high technology facilities capable of producing 17,500 kg of high-quality organic cannabis annually upon completion
  • Home of TGOD’s community farm with over 3,000 pounds of fruit and vegetables grown and donated to the Hamilton food share
  • Cultivation license received: August 2016
  • Sales license received: August 2017
  • Oil extraction license received: May 2018
Facility II –  Valleyfield

Valleyfield, Quebec, Canada

  • 1,310,000 sq. ft. high technology hybrid facility capable of producing 185,000 kg of high-quality organic cannabis annually upon completion
  • Construction began: January 2018
  • Striving for eGMP standard certification, including advanced hybrid facility technology including:
    • Positive pressure systems
    • Highly automatized
    • Robotized internal logistics
    • Customized glass ensuring optimal light penetration
    • Specialized nutrient delivery systems
    • Advanced HVAC units
    • Preferential power rates
    • Dual zoned property allows complete vertical integration including cultivation, R&D and product manufacturing.

Ms. Stewart has extensive experience in regulated products manufacturing, marketing and distribution, intellectual property licensing and complex merger and acquisition activities.

Mr. Campbell brings over 15 years of marketing experience on the agency and client side. He spent several years at FUSE Marketing Group where he managed accounts for clients such as Canadian Tire, Sony, NASCAR and CIBC. He also worked at Boston Pizza, Canada’s largest casual dining chain, where he led the digital transformation strategy. Most recently, Mr. Campbell was Vice President of Marketing at Weight Watchers Canada, where he was heavily involved in the global evolution of the brand.

Over the last two decades, Mr. Gora has developed a diversified experience in sales and marketing for consumer packaged goods, life sciences and cannabis brands. He spent over 10 years at Bristol-Myers Squibb where he represented, launched, and developed several successful pharmaceutical brands across multiple disease areas. He also built and managed high-performing sales teams across Canada, and joined the cannabis industry in 2017 as General Manager, Medical at MedReleaf.

Mr. Scott is President of Postell Energy Co., a private Canadian oil producer in business in western Canada since 1980. He is the Founder and was Chairman of Gran Tierra Energy, a South American based E&P Company from 2004 to June of 2015. Mr. Scott is also Chairman of Sulvaris Inc., a private fertilizer technology company created in February 2012. He has extensive management, financing, mergers & acquisitions, and public company experience. Over the past 20 years he has been involved in a variety of capacities from founder to officer and/or director in numerous publicly traded companies.

Dr. Caroline MacCallum is one of the world's most prominent experts in cannabinoid-based medicine. She is an internist, complex pain and cannabinoid clinician, researcher and clinical instructor in the Department of Medicine, an adjunct professor in the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences Program and an associate member of the Department of Palliative Care at the University of British Columbia. She is also the medical director at Greenleaf Medical Clinic, where she has assessed and developed cannabinoid treatment plans for more than 3,000 patients across Canada. She is working with university research groups, hospitals, health benefit programs, and provincial and national committees to create cannabis guidelines for clinical trials, safe prescribing practices and patient registries. Dr. MacCallum has studied and remains focused on cannabis as a substitute for opioid use and polypharmacy reduction.
